The Tank Container International Standard Tank is a stainless steel pressure vessel that is mounted in a secured outer frame. Most of the tank body is made of 316 stainless steel. Most tanks have steam or electric heating, inert gas protection, pressure relief and other optional equipment for fluid handling and handling.

Operating Components:

Pressure Gauge/Thermometer: Monitors tank conditions.

Steam Recovery Valve: Used for connection to a steam recovery system.

Capacity: Typically ranges from 17,000 to 26,000 liters. Maximum operating pressure varies from vacuum to higher pressures (e.g., 4-6 bar), depending on the design.

Packing and Shipping 

“Installation” here primarily refers to the process of loading the tank container onto a transport vehicle (truck, ship, train) and placing it on site.

Structural Integrity Check: Before lifting or hauling, carefully inspect the frame structure for deformation, cracks, or severe corrosion, especially at the corner fittings, to ensure it can withstand heavy loads.

Center of Gravity Balance: Due to its round shape, the tank container has a higher center of gravity than a typical dry container. Lifting and transportation must be stable to prevent tipping due to an unstable center of gravity.

Proper Operation of Spreaders/Chassis:

1.Use a spreader or chassis designed for containers.

2.Ensure that all twist locks are fully locked and securely in place with the tank container’s corner fittings.

3.On-Land Storage: If the tank container needs to be stored on site for an extended period, it should be securely supported using dedicated supports or skids to prevent direct loads on the tank valves or bottom.

4.Pre-Pipeline Verification: Before connecting the tank container to on-site pipelines, ensure that it is stable and cannot move.
