20ft iso CO2 tank container is a portable container that complies with international standards (ISO) and is specially designed for transporting liquid carbon dioxide (LCO₂) at low temperatures (usually -20°C to -30°C) and a certain pressure.

Its key features include:

Standard Dimensions: Its exterior dimensions conform to the specifications of a 20-foot international standard container (length × width × height: approximately 6058mm × 2438mm × 2591mm), facilitating compatibility with intermodal transport systems (ships, trains, and trucks).

Core Structure: It consists of a pressure-resistant tank (typically with a volume of 17-26 cubic meters) made of high-grade stainless steel (such as 304L or 316L) and an exterior steel frame.

Insulation System: The space between the tank and the exterior frame is filled with high-vacuum multi-layer insulation material (commonly known as “vacuum powder insulation” or “multi-layer wound insulation”), which significantly reduces external heat transfer and maintains a low temperature inside the tank.

Low-Temperature, Low-Pressure Design: Unlike high-pressure gas cylinders, this system maintains its liquid state by storing the carbon dioxide at low temperatures (approximately -20°C), resulting in a relatively low operating pressure (typically around 20-25 bar).

Integrated system: Equipped with various valves, instruments, safety devices (such as safety valves and bursting discs), level gauges, and pressure gauges for filling, discharging, measurement, and protection.

Simply put, it is a “mobile, highly insulated, cryogenic liquid CO2 storage tank with an operating system.”

Transportation Precautions
The transportation of cryogenic dangerous goods has extremely strict regulations and must comply with international and national regulations (such as the IMDG Code, the ADR Agreement).

1. Compliance Documentation: Ensure all transportation documents are complete, including the Dangerous Goods Transport Declaration, the Container/Equipment Safety Certificate (CSC), and the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

T75 Liquid co2 Tank Condition Verification:

1. Pressure and Valves: Before transport, confirm that all valves are properly closed and the pressure is within the normal and stable range. All valves and connections must be sealed with blind flanges or protective caps.

2. Liquid Level and Fill Rate: Overfilling is strictly prohibited! Sufficient gas phase space must be left (usually no more than 95% fill rate) to prevent liquid expansion when the temperature rises, causing a sudden increase in pressure and causing serious safety accidents.

3. Securing and Labeling:

Tanks must be securely secured on trucks, trains, or ships to prevent movement and collision.

Proper dangerous goods labeling must be displayed on all sides of the container, primarily Class 2.2 (non-flammable, non-toxic gases) and Class 9 (miscellaneous hazardous materials), as well as an “upward” sign.

Full-range monitoring: While not mandatory, advanced tank containers may be equipped with remote monitoring systems that monitor tank pressure and temperature in real time for timely warnings.

4. Driver and Personnel Qualifications: Drivers and operators involved in transportation must undergo dangerous goods transportation training and hold the appropriate qualifications.

5. Emergency Equipment: Transport vehicles must be equipped with necessary emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers and spill kits.
