20 m ³ cryogenic storage tank successfully completed on-site installation by Iraq customers

Recently, the 20 m ³ cryogenic storage tank independently developed and produced by our company has successfully completed installation and commissioning at the customer project site in Baghdad, Iraq, and officially entered the trial operation stage.

The Middle East region is hot and dry all year round, and the extreme temperature in summer can reach above 50 °C, and there are many sandy and dusty weather, which puts forward extremely high requirements for the material weather resistance, sealing and heat insulation performance, safety and stability of low-temperature storage tanks. Our 20 m ³ low-temperature storage tank tailored for special working conditions in the Middle East has won the favor of customers with three core advantages: First, it adopts imported high-temperature-resistant special steel and vacuum insulation technology, and the shell of the storage tank can withstand-20 °C to 60 °C The extreme temperature difference, the excellent cold retention performance of the liner, can effectively reduce the evaporation loss of low-temperature media, and save energy by more than 15% compared with the industry standard; Second, the innovatively designed anti-wind and sand sealing structure and anti-corrosion coating can resist strong wind and sand erosion and high salt spray environmental corrosion, and the service life of the equipment is extended to more than 15 years, which is suitable for the complex geographical and climatic conditions of the Middle East; Thirdly, it integrates intelligent monitoring and safety early warning system, monitors key parameters such as pressure and temperature in real time, and is equipped with multiple explosion-proof and pressure relief protection devices, which fully meets the safety standards of the international petrochemical industry. ​

During this installation process, our technical team overcame challenges such as local high temperature and complex construction conditions, formulated a refined installation plan, and completed the whole process from foundation pouring, equipment hoisting to pipeline connection, commissioning and trial operation in only 15 days, 3 days ahead of the construction period agreed in the contract, and the efficient and professional service has been highly praised by customers. The storage tank will be used for the storage and transshipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG), providing a stable guarantee for local industrial production and energy supply. ​
