The 50-cubic liquid oxygen storage tank is a double-layer cylinder structure. The liquid oxygen temperature rises from below-180 °C to close to the ambient temperature through vaporization and decompresses to gaseous oxygen.

The oxygen output pipeline of the liquid oxygen system and the oxygen output pipeline of the pressure swing adsorption device converge together to supply oxygen to the user. When the pressure swing adsorption device is normal, the liquid oxygen system will not supply oxygen to the outside. Since the outlet valve of the 50 cubic liquid oxygen storage tank remains normally open, when the external oxygen supply pressure is lower than 0.16 MPa, the liquid oxygen backup system will be automatically put into operation.

Liquid oxygen is a low temperature and strong combustion-supporting substance. There is a large amount of liquid oxygen stored in the liquid oxygen storage tank. In addition to preventing leakage and low-temperature burns, we should be vigilant against the danger of its explosion. Because although the liquid oxygen from the air separation unit should be basically free of hydrocarbons, after long-term use, trace amounts of hydrocarbons may concentrate and accumulate in the storage tank, and under certain conditions, explosion accidents may occur. Therefore, the following problems should be paid attention to when using the 50 cubic liquid oxygen storage tank:

1) The liquid level in the liquid oxygen storage tank shall not be lower than 20% at any time;

2) The acetylene content in the liquid oxygen in the 50-cubic liquid oxygen storage tank should be analyzed within the specified time limit (for example, once every half a month), and measures should be taken in time to deal with abnormalities;

3) The liquid in the tank should not be parked for a long time, but should be filled and discharged frequently, so as not to cause the concentration of harmful impurities such as acetylene.
